Thousands of cigarettes stolen in Bognor burglary

Police have released a CCTV image of a man officers would like to speak to in connection with a burglary in Bognor which saw around £1500 worth of cigarettes stolen.

The suspect, a white man wearing a navy coat and blue jeans, walked in to the Co-op store in Hawthorn Road at around 2.30pm on Monday (13 February).

He reportedly reached over the counter and took a large bag full of 200 pack cartons before walking out.

PC James Cowen said: "Do you recognise this man pictured or know where he is? It's thought he could really help our investigation.

"Perhaps you were in the area at the time and saw someone acting suspiciously near the shop. If you have any information about the burglary then please get in touch."

Witnesses can report online here quoting reference 607 of 13/02.
