Serious collision closes the A24 at Horsham
Police are dealing with a serious collision on the A24 near Horsham.
Officers were informed of a suspected burglary at a property in Goring.
A vehicle believed to be connected, was traced to the A24 at 1.55pm before stopping at the services at the Buck Barn crossroads. It was seen by officers to leave the services in convoy with another vehicle.
Both vehicles failed to stop for officers and the first vehicle crashed into a hedge near the services and the driver ran from the vehicle. Officers located the man and he was arrested nearby.
The second vehicle continued to drive from the services and crashed with another vehicle on A24 between the Broadbridge Heath and the Robin Hood roundabout seriously injuring two members of the public. The driver of that vehicle fled from the car and is currently being traced.
The A24 is currently closed northbound between the Buck Barn crossroads and the Robin Hood roundabout at the B2237.
