£10,000 reward issued over West Sussex farm arson

Police investigating a case of arson at a West Sussex farm confirm that the owners are offering a £10,000 reward for information, subject to arrests and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

In the early hours of Friday 27 July a barn and seating area at Loxwood Meadow, home of the Loxwood Joust, off the B2133 north of Billingshurst were set alight, causing an estimated £35,000 of damage.

The barn was unoccupied and nobody was hurt, although people were on the site at the time.

PC John Blight of the Chichester Investigations team said; "Our enquiries have so far not identified the motive or those responsible for this offence, but the offer of the reward by land owners Bacon Empire Publishing, subject to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible, may well produce information."

Anyone with information can contact the police online or by calling 101, quoting serial 212 of 27/07.
